Big River First Nation – Council of the Federation Meeting

I was pleased to welcome Canada’s Premiers and National Indigenous leaders to our beautiful constituency of Saskatchewan Rivers today, July 9th, 2019. Premier Scott Moe was joined by New Brunswick’s Blaine Higgs, Alberta’s Jason Kenney, Prince Edward Island’s Dennis King, Quebec’s François Legault, BC’s John Horgan, National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations Perry Bellegarde, and Nunavut’s Joe Savikataaq; all hosted at Big River First Nation by Chief Bruce Morin, to kick off the annual Council of the Federation meetings. This was a wonderful opportunity to showcase Big River First Nation’s many successes and sightseeing opportunities to a national audience. Many thanks to Big River First Nation for warmly welcoming all of Canada on this historic occasion.

Canada’s Premiers met with National Indigenous Leaders today at the Sergeant Darby Morin Centre in Big River First Nation.
