To the Minister of Social Services, for each month since January 2020 to present,

(a) how many children have been added to child protection services in need of protection from abuse, neglect, and interpersonal violence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and

(b) how many foster parents have been added to provide a safe, caring home on a long-term basis to vulnerable children?

Answer:

(a) As mandated by the Child and Family Services Act, child protection services are only provided when children are deemed to be in need of protection due to neglect or abuse. A pandemic itself would not be considered a reason requiring child protection services.

Parents lose rights like any other criminal, when they abuse a child. To force a teacher or other school official to report a sensitive personal matter to a parent who could be a threat to a child is not only harmful to the child, it is harmful to an empathetic school official. You cannot tell any other person outside the school setting how to address the child. This is just wrong. Your argument also makes it sound like any family with a vulnerable child is not worthy. You are dehumanizing the vulnerable child. When you start to take away the rights of a child, you have just taken away the rights of everyone. When you use vulnerable children as sacrificial lambs in a very public political forum singling them out, you have lost sight of what is humane.

Where’s Scott Moe? Well I can tell you he’s not making up bullshit stories about FCC leaving Regina like you did…. Once again you’ve proven yourself to be the biggest joke in provincial politics. I’m embarrassed that you are our MLA. Well for another 6 months anyway. Where’s your proof?? Who leaked FCC info to you? Let’s see it…… but we won’t. Cuz it never existed. You’re nothing short of a clown honking her nose for attention making shit up as you go. If you really cared for the people of Sask Rivers, and really cared about FCC, you would be asking questions about why some of their programs are being eliminated for young farmers just starting out. Which make it almost impossible to start or take over the family farm without the type of programs that have helped 1000’s of young Saskatchewan producers get a foot hold to build successful operations. But you don’t, you only grandstand on utter bullshit, making it appear you care, when you fact you don’t because you haven’t a clue WTF is going on in the real world…..

Both Moe and Higgs in New Brunswick need to go this year. Unfortunately Ottawa based Steve Outhouse of Intercede Communications and Derek Robinson founder of Calgary based Mash Strategy have been hired by Higgs at the tax payers of NB expense to control the message. $20,000 dollars a month alone for Steve Outhouse.These two are connected to Moe and Danielle Smith. These two have nothing to contribute to the betterment of the people of NB or Saskatchewan except controlling and manipulating the message on social media in order to get Moe and Higgs elected. STOP this morally bankrupt style of thinking.
